Loofah ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our gallery cleaning application.

1. Information Access and Usage

Loofah is a local-only utility tool. To function, the App requires specific permissions to interact with your device:

Media Storage (Photos & Videos): The App uses the `READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE` and `WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE` permissions (or the modern Scoped Storage APIs) to display your photos and videos so you can decide whether to keep or delete them.

‍Deletion Authority: The App only deletes files that you explicitly slate for "Trash" and then verify through a final confirmation dialog.

2. Data Privacy (Offline-First)

Your privacy is our priority.

‍No Uploads: Loofah does NOT upload your photos, videos, or any personal metadata to external servers, cloud storage, or third-party databases.

Local Processing: All media analysis, sorting, and file size calculations are performed entirely on your device.

Local Database: Loofah uses an internal Room Database to track which items you have already swiped. This data never leaves your device and is deleted if the App is uninstalled.

3. Statistics Tracking

Loofah tracks "Lifetime Savings" (total bytes reclaimed and items deleted). This information is stored locally on your device's internal storage and is used solely to provide you with a dashboard of your cleaning progress. We do not collect or transmit these statistics to ourselves or any third parties.

4. Third-Party Libraries

The App uses the following trusted libraries to enhance your experience:

‍Coil: For efficient local image loading.

Media3 ExoPlayer: For local video playback.

Room: For local data persistence.

None of these libraries are configured to collect or transmit your media data.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our App does not collect any personal information. It is safe for use by individuals of all ages.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
